At the Tuesday, August 31st Board of Education meeting, the Board of Education for the Conejo Valley Unified School District adopted Resolution #21/22-05 for National Bullying Prevention Month. During the month of October, communities across the nation campaign to raise awareness and educate people on the long term effects that bullying has on children. The goal of recognizing National Bullying Prevention Month in the Conejo Valley Unified School District is to encourage parents, students, and staff to unite against bullying and share the message that no one deserves to be bullied.
Katie Collins is an exemplary educator at Cypress Elementary School. She is a current first grade teacher, boasts a student-centered classroom and has been integral to the overall development of Cypress' International Baccalaureate Program. The Conejo Valley Unified School District and the Greater Conejo Valley Chamber of Commerce are proud to honor Mrs. Collins as our September 2021 Teacher of the Month!
The Conejo Valley Unified School District would like to receive input from stakeholders regarding how the District should use its Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief (ESSER) III. The deadline to complete the Survey is no later than Friday, October 8, 2021 at 5:00pm.
Students supporting students is at the center of CVUSD's Online Tutoring Program. First launched in May of 2020, this FREE program gives families of CVUSD students the opportunity to schedule online tutoring appointments with CVUSD high school student tutors and California Lutheran University volunteer student tutors. Tutoring sessions may be booked online, are available in a variety of different subject areas, with each tutoring appointment lasting 45 minutes.
The Thousand Oaks High School Lancer Band proudly presents the annual Sounds of Conejo - a celebration of high school marching bands. The event will take place on Saturday, October 9th at 7pm in the outdoor Thousand Oaks High School Stadium. Scheduled performers include: Simi Valley High, Oxnard High, Buena High, Oak Park High, Moorpark High, Camarillo High, Royal High, Westlake High and Thousand Oaks High.
