A New "Pi-Recitation" Champion Reigns at Sycamore Canyon School

CVUSD 0 1166
Each year Sycamore Canyon School celebrates March 14th, also known as Pi Day, with a friendly quest to see how many digits of Pi students in grades 6-8 can memorize with the hope of becoming the school's new "Pi Recitation Champion!" This year an incredible new Sycamore Canyon record was set by 8th grade student Kimi who accurately recited 2,048 digits of Pi. Pi is the ratio of the circumference of any circle to the diameter of that circle - it is an irrational number (meaning in decimal form it does not end) and it is not repetitive in nature.
