The Conejo Valley Unified School District’s Instructional Services Department is proud to host Preview Nights to provide parents and community members with the opportunity to learn about a new, proposed core literature title and a new, proposed History-Social Science curriculum for Middle School.
The Conejo Valley Unified School District would like to receive input from stakeholders regarding how the District should use its Extended Learning Opportunity Grant (ELOG) stimulus funding for the 2021-2022 school year. The feedback the District receives from stakeholders will be an invaluable resource to the District as we move forward with the planning process for how ELOG funds will be used to make the most impact for our CVUSD students.
Please join our Parent Outreach Program on Wednesday, May 5th at 6pm for the May Outreach Conference: "La Importancia de Leer in Casa / The Importance of Reading at Home." The guest speaker is Dr. César Morales, Ventura County Superintendent of Schools. Dr. Morales was appointed as Ventura County Superintendent of Schools by the Ventura County Board of Education in 2021, becoming the first Latino and first person of color to hold the office since it was created in 1873.
The CVUSD BreakThrough Student Assistance Program and the Conejo Schools Foundation recently hosted the April Parent/Guardian Workshop: "Communicating with your LGBTQ Child" presented by John Sovec. This interactive workshop discussed tools to communicate better with children, build awareness of the unique needs of their LGBTQ child and explore how the coming out process is a journey for the entire family. Conejo Valley Unified School District is proud to support its students’ diverse academic needs and ambitions. As such, the district is providing a listing of the many different opportunities for students to continue their education during the summer months. Students may choose to enroll in a summer school program for acceleration and/or credit recovery purposes. Students can apply up to 20 credits from external summer school programs for this summer 2021 only.
