New for 2016-2017 School Year: CVUSD Board Meetings to Stream Live & Use Paperless Board Meeting Technology

Tuesday, August 16, 2016 marks the first regular Board Meeting for the new school year and CVUSD has some exciting news to share…..district Board Meetings will now be streamed live!

Board Meetings are held the first and third Tuesday of each month during the school year, and it will now be easier than ever for the Conejo community to watch the meetings live. Each meeting will be available for viewing here on the district’s website, offering a new standard of accessibility for community members to know exactly what is happening as it happens live at the district’s Board Meetings.

The video streaming service is powered by Swagit Productions, LLC, which specializes in providing hands-free video streaming® and broadcast solutions to local, state and federal government agencies as well as other online entities.

Additionally, CVUSD is leveraging the power of BoardDocs® LT, a paperless meeting solution platform, to radically improve the governance process of its district board meetings.

BoardDocs® LT will enable CVUSD to maximize the effectiveness of its board meetings with increased transparency, providing a basis for better and more open communication with the public, while dramatically increasing productivity and helping the environment. This new system will replace the old and costly method of compiling, printing, binding and distributing paper agenda packets by hand.

Electronic distribution will not only save time and resources, but it will also provide unprecedented public access via the CVUSD website to agenda items and other governing body-related information. This process will allow interested parties to easily review information prior to board meetings. All documents associated with the meeting are automatically archived and can be accessed by meeting date or by using the system’s comprehensive search feature.

BoardDocs uses a structured, collaborative workflow that is specifically designed to meet the unique needs and legal requirements of public school boards, county commissions, municipal governments and a wide variety of other types of governing bodies.
