In a special, virtual celebration Brynn Hutchison was announced as the Conejo Valley Unified School District’s “Teacher of the Year 2021” with colleagues, District leadership, family and members from the Greater Conejo Valley Chamber of Commerce in attendance. Ms. Hutchison is currently a SHINE Homeschool teacher, and in previous years taught grades 3-5 at Banyan Elementary School. Earlier this school year, she was named CVUSD’s November 2020 Teacher of the Month, which put her in the running to receive the prestigious “Teacher of the Year 2021” recognition.
The FCC has initiated the Emergency Broadband Benefit to help families and households struggling to afford internet service during the COVID-19 pandemic. The Emergency Broadband Benefit will provide a discount of up to $50 per month towards broadband service for eligible households and up to $75 per month for households on qualifying Tribal lands.

Congratulations to Wonjin Ko, a 12th grade student at Newbury Park High School who was announced today as a National Merit $2500 Scholarship winner by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC®). Wonjin is one of 2,500 Merit Scholar designees chosen from a talent pool of some 16,000 outstanding Finalists in the 2021 National Merit Scholarship Program.
CVUSD, Safe Passage Thousand Oaks, Adelante Comunidad Conejo and Ventura County Public Health are proudly teaming up to provide a FREE COVID-19 Mobile Vaccine Clinic to individuals 18 years of age and older who work or live in Ventura County. The Clinic will be held on Monday, May 17, 2021 from 12pm to 5pm at the University Early Childhood Center (2801 Atlas Ave., Thousand Oaks). Making an appointment is recommended but not necessary.
