Thousand Oaks High School Student Selected as a Regeneron Science Talent Search Top 300 Scholar
Congratulations to Benjamin Chung, Thousand Oaks High School 12th grade student, who was selected as a Regeneron Science Talent Search Top 300 Scholar. This marks the second consecutive year that a student enrolled in The Center for Advanced Studies and Research at Thousand Oaks High School earned this impressive distinction.

Westlake High Students Win Congressional App Challenge for CA’s 26th Congressional District
Congratulations to Benjamin Xie and Mihir Bamdhamravuri, Westlake High School 11th grade students, who were recently announced by Congresswoman Julia Brownley (D-CA) as the winners of the 2024 Congressional App Challenge for California’s 26th Congressional District.

CVUSD Schools are Open Thursday, January 9th
All CVUSD schools are open today, Thursday, January 9th. We have received inquiries as to why or when our schools would close or remain open for learning. Generally, our CVUSD school campuses will continue to be open, when the school does not have power. Considerations to not open schools would include evacuation orders or if a school facility was deemed to be unsafe - information that often is not known until after monitoring the events of the evening and early morning.
