Read Across America Week is a national celebration of reading that begins on Monday, February 28, 2022. CVUSD is firmly committed to promoting reading as the catalyst for our students' future academic successes. Throughout this special week our CVUSD school sites will engage in special events and activities with our students to celebrate the importance of books and reading.
In its 37th year of honoring the nation's most elite high school athletes, Gatorade today, February 23, announced Colin Sahlman of Newbury Park High School is the 2021-22 Gatorade National Boys Cross Country Player of the Year. Sahlman won the prestigious award for his accomplishments on and off the field, joining an impressive group of former Gatorade National Boys Cross Country Players of the Year who have combined for 19 National Championships.
To put it simply: learning is fun in Richard Bradley’s Social Studies classes at Newbury Park High School. A veteran in the classroom, with more than 15 years as an educator, Mr. Bradley is both well-respected and well-loved by his students. We and the Greater Conejo Valley Chamber of Commerce are proud to announce Mr. Bradley as our February 2022 Teacher of the Month.
Please join the CVUSD BreakThrough Student Assistance Program and The Conejo Schools Foundation for a workshop on Thursday, March 3rd at 6:00 PM. Presentations will be provided by professionals from the Ventura County Office of Education, and will be followed by Q&A time. This workshop is open to all CVUSD Parents/Guardians and students 12 years of age and older.
