If you are a parent of a 5th or 8th grade student with an Individual Education Plan (IEP), please consider joining us for a parent information night regarding matriculation from preschool/elementary school to middle school, and matriculation from middle school to high school.
CVUSD Parents/Guardians are invited to a Reality Party for Parents on Saturday, October 12, 2019. This free event gives participants the opportunity to tour a home set up to portray a teen party with youth actors voicing concerns expressed by local teens and young adults. Reservations are required.
This year CVUSD joined with Sandy Hook Promise to implement two of the three "Know the Signs Program" modules: "Start with Hello" and "Say Something." The "Start with Hello" program encourages social inclusivity with peer to peer activities to reduce students feeling isolated at school (activities and ice breakers are intended for students to use at school with student peers).
Promoting empathy and understanding is at the center of Westlake Hills Elementary School’s first ever Abilities Awareness Week happening from September 23rd to September 27th. This special weeklong, school wide, fully integrated event will give students knowledge and insight about various different disabilities.
In Conejo Valley Unified School District, we promote cultures of kindness, with a focus on the social-emotional well-being of all of our students a top priority. In line with this priority, the start of the 2019-2020 school year marked the beginning of a new partnership between CVUSD and the Sandy Hook Promise, “Just Say Hello” program.
