October 23 through October 31, 2020 is Red Ribbon Week. CVUSD schools are proud to recognize Red Ribbon Week, which provides an opportunity to discuss positive life choices with students.
Unity Day has been celebrated in the United States and around the world since 2011. It is the most well-known event of National Bullying Prevention Month. To participate in Unity Day, individuals, schools, communities, and businesses wear or display orange to show support for students who have been bullied, in addition to sending the message that no child should ever experience bullying.
This educator’s got the beat! Karla Stevenson of Sequoia Middle School is innovative, engaging and passionate about forming connections between students and the content she teachers. She has been a dedicated educator at Sequoia Middle School for more than 25 years and currently leads classes in Digital Production, Music Appreciation and Principles of Computer Science. The Conejo Valley Unified School District and our community partners the Greater Conejo Valley Chamber of Commerce are proud to recognize Mrs. Stevenson as the Teacher of the Month – September 2020!
All students in grades 9-12 are eligible to apply for the Youth Leadership Program with the Conejo/Las Virgenes Future Foundation. Students accepted into the program will have the opportunity to develop effective leadership skills from a variety of speakers with different perspectives.
At their meeting on October 6, 2020, the Board of Education of the Conejo Valley Unified School District proclaimed the week of October 11 - 17, 2020, as "Week of the School Administrator." We are so grateful for our school administrators, and their invaluable contributions to student achievement and the District's success.
