The Conejo Valley Unified School District is seeking qualified, interested community members to serve on the Independent Citizens’ Bond Oversight Committee for the implementation of the District’s Measure I school facilities bond program.
On Thursday, May 31st a special ceremony was held to unveil a brand new adaptive bicycle gifted to Newbury Park High School by non-profit PAUSE4Kids. This unique bicycle, valued at $3,500, gives special needs students greater mobility, and the opportunity to participate in outdoor leg strength exercising, while receiving significant therapeutic benefits.
Congratulations to the Thousand Oaks High School Peer Mentoring Program for receiving a Faces of Change Award for their peer support and choosing kindness efforts! This award is part of the 4th Annual Unity Awards presented by the Youth Advisory Boards of PACER’s National Bullying Prevention Center.
