On Tuesday, May 1st the Conejo Valley Unified School District Board of Education announced that Brian Mercer was selected as the District’s Director of High School – Assessment, a new position for CVUSD. Mr. Mercer comes to CVUSD from Las Virgenes Unified School District where he currently serves as the Principal of Agoura High School, and as the Clear Administrative Services Credential – Coach, for LVUSD’s Center of Educational Excellence.
On Tuesday, May 1st the Conejo Valley Unified School District Board of Education announced that Kenneth Loo has been selected as the District’s Director of Middle School – Professional Learning, a new position for CVUSD. Mr. Loo comes to CVUSD from the Ventura County Office of Education where he currently serves as the Principal of the Gateway Community School, Providence Court School.
Mae Tietjen will be the new principal of Aspen Elementary School, beginning with the 2018-2019 school year. The official announcement was made at the District’s Board of Education Meeting on Tuesday, May 1st. Ms. Tietjen has devoted the past 13 years of her career to the Conejo Valley Unified School District, most recently serving as the Assistant Principal of Sequoia Middle School.

On Tuesday, April 24th – that’s exactly what more than 35 community members had the opportunity to experience thanks to the Principal for a Half Day Program hosted by the Greater Conejo Valley Chamber of Commerce and the Conejo Valley Unified School District.
In a surprise celebration on Tuesday, April 24th Michelle Taranto of Redwood Middle School received the May Teacher of the Month recognition award! Ms. Taranto is a 6th grade Math and Science teacher with 18 years of teaching experience in CVUSD with 16 of those years at Redwood Middle.
