Sonia Wilson was announced as the new Director of Elementary Education for the Conejo Valley Unified School District at the regularly scheduled Tuesday, June 5 meeting of the Board of Education. Ms. Wilson has 23 years of educational career experience, and comes to the District from Exeter Unified School District where she has served as Principal of Wilson Middle School for the past five years.
Nicole Judd will be the new principal of Redwood Middle School, beginning with the 2018-2019 school year. The official announcement was made at the District’s Board of Education Meeting on Tuesday, June 5. Ms. Judd has devoted the past 19 years of her career to the Conejo Valley Unified School District. Most recently, she has served as the Assistant Principal of Instruction at Westlake High School.
The Conejo Valley Unified School District is seeking qualified, interested community members to serve on the Independent Citizens’ Bond Oversight Committee for the implementation of the District’s Measure I school facilities bond program.
On Thursday, May 31st a special ceremony was held to unveil a brand new adaptive bicycle gifted to Newbury Park High School by non-profit PAUSE4Kids. This unique bicycle, valued at $3,500, gives special needs students greater mobility, and the opportunity to participate in outdoor leg strength exercising, while receiving significant therapeutic benefits.
