Congratulations to our Sycamore Canyon School - named a 2018 California Distinguished School by State Superintendent of Public Instruction Tom Torlakson. Sycamore Canyon is one of just three Ventura County elementary schools to receive this recognition for making exceptional gains in implementing academic content and performance standards adopted by the State Board of Education.
At the Tuesday, March 20th Board of Education Meeting, Dr. Mark McLaughlin, Superintendent for CVUSD gave a 2018-2019 LCAP goals update - including the announcement of a fourth district-wide goal.

This first information meeting will provide details on the purpose of SEDAC, school site committee nomination process and timeline, and dates/times of future meetings.
Congratulations to Walnut Elementary’s Emma L., a fifth grade student who was recently announced as a recipient of a $1,000 Carson Scholarship to use in the future for college! Emma’s academic excellence, and strong community involvement were key components for her receiving the award.
Today many students across the Conejo participated in student-led action events to honor the Parkland community. Our students demonstrated their leadership, and teamwork in working with school site administrators and teachers to plan respectful, structured student-led action events.
