Christine Creekbaum is a veteran teacher with the Conejo Valley Unified School District. She has spent the last decade as a teacher at Sycamore Canyon School, currently teaches 3rd grade, and has more than 24 years of classroom experience in the Conejo. She is an innovative team player who understands the diversity, and differentiated needs of all of her students.
At the Tuesday, February 19, 2019 Board of Education Meeting, the Board of Education adopted a resolution proclaiming February 25, 2019 through March 1, 2019 as "Read Across America Week" in CVUSD in honor of Dr. Seuss's birthday. As part of this celebration, CVUSD students will join millions of children across the country in this annual event sponsored by the National Education Association and many of the country's leading literacy and youth groups. The event is co-sponsored by the Unified Association of Conejo Teachers and the District.
Amy and Jordan met as fourth grade students on the campus of Madrona Elementary School. Flash forward to this past President’s Day weekend where the two became husband and wife at a special ceremony and celebration on the Madrona school grounds.
CVUSD’s new Conejo Closet seeks to assist CVUSD families in need by providing toiletries, personal care items, school supplies, and clothing, free of charge. The Conejo Closet is spearheaded by the District’s Student Support Services Department, and has been connecting families with material items of need since November of 2018.
During the Tuesday, February 19, 2019 Board of Education Meeting for the Conejo Valley Unified School District, the Board of Education adopted Resolution #18/19-17 authorizing the selection and adoption of a final trustee area plan as part of the District’s transition to a “By-Trustee Area” election system.
