On Thursday, May 27, Rock and Roll Hall of Famer, Little Steven Van Zandt visited, via Zoom, Mr. Bradley’s Comparative Religions class at Newbury Park High School, as one of eleven classes throughout the United States, on the TeachRock tour, during the class’s unit of study Religion and the Beatles?  This unit of study examines the religious background and views of the groundbreaking musical group The Beatles.

Preparing for the next school year has begun, and we need your feedback! CVUSD Students Receive Youth Citizenship Awards

Congratulations to the 23 CVUSD students who received a Youth Citizenship Award from the Thousand Oaks Rotary. These annual recognitions are bestowed to a 5th grade student from each CVUSD elementary school and an 8th grade student from each CVUSD middle school. Students are chosen for the award for successfully demonstrating good citizenship by helping others, for making a contribution to the school and community, and for being a role model to others. Students are also selected for exhibiting outstanding leadership skills.

At the Tuesday, May 18, 2021 Board of Education meeting for the Conejo Valley Unified School District, Dr. Veronica (Ortega) Johnston was announced as the District’s new Assistant Superintendent, Instructional Services. Dr. (Ortega) Johnston is a collaborative, dedicated educational leader with proven ability to develop and create systems that improve learning outcomes for all students.
