Amy and Jordan met as fourth grade students on the campus of Madrona Elementary School. Flash forward to this past President’s Day weekend where the two became husband and wife at a special ceremony and celebration on the Madrona school grounds.
CVUSD’s new Conejo Closet seeks to assist CVUSD families in need by providing toiletries, personal care items, school supplies, and clothing, free of charge. The Conejo Closet is spearheaded by the District’s Student Support Services Department, and has been connecting families with material items of need since November of 2018.
During the Tuesday, February 19, 2019 Board of Education Meeting for the Conejo Valley Unified School District, the Board of Education adopted Resolution #18/19-17 authorizing the selection and adoption of a final trustee area plan as part of the District’s transition to a “By-Trustee Area” election system.
Help students in special education (ages 15-22 years old) prepare for the quality adult life they envision. This Spring Transition Fair on Saturday, March 9th, presented by the Ventura County Transition Project and the Ventura County SELPA, is for students, parents, teachers, and care providers to learn about the transition-to-adult life process and meet local agency representatives.
Conejo Valley High School is one of just 31 schools statewide to be newly designated the recognition of a Model Continuation High School for 2019 by the California Department of Education. Schools are recognized as Model Continuation High Schools for their innovative approach to instruction and helping students who have faced many challenges—including behavior issues, chronic absenteeism, and truancy—get back on the pathway to learning.
