Please join the CVUSD's BreakThrough Student Assistance Program and the Conejo Schools Foundation for the Parent/Guardian Education Workshop about anxiety on Thursday, February 20th from 7pm to 8:30pm. This FREE event will equip parents/guardians with strategies to help build a toolkit to prevent and respond to anxiety.
CVUSD is working closely with the Ventura County Office of Education, and in coordination with Ventura County Public Health regarding the sharing of important information about the coronavirus. Regional health officials say there is currently no need for the general public to take special precautions or alter regular activities due to the novel coronavirus, which originated in Wuhan, China. They do point out that we are currently at the height of the flu season and encourage everyone to practice good hygiene to prevent the spread of the flu and other infectious diseases.
The California Department of Education has named Thousand Oaks High School’s EThOS Entrepreneurship Academy a 2020 California Partnership Academies Distinguished Academy. EThOS is among a very select group to ever receive this recognition – and is one of only six to receive the 2020 Distinguished Academy status, out of 393 California Partnership Academies (CPAs) statewide.
Celebrating differences, kindness, and acceptance is at the heart of Banyan Elementary School’s Abilities Awareness Week. Taking place from January 24th through January 31st, this annual, weeklong program gives students at every grade level a hands on experience in what it would be like to have disabilities, or different abilities.
