Conejo Valley Unified School District Launches See Into CVUSD – the District’s First Ever Video Series
High school video production students team up with CVUSD leadership to showcase District as a choice destination for education
Something new has arrived in the Conejo Valley Unified School District…video content!
Coined See Into CVUSD, this first of its kind video content for the District recruits the talent of Newbury Park High School Advanced Digital Production students as producers. Together, these students with their teacher, Mr. Derek Grimes, and District leaders use video content to highlight some of the many reasons CVUSD is a choice destination for education.
The students are both behind, and in front of the cameras along with CVUSD Superintendent, Dr. Ann Bonitatibus who proudly hosts each episode.
“It’s important to bridge the gap between the District office and the students that we serve,” Dr. Ann Bonitatibus said. “Working directly with students to create engaging video content allows us to do that while we simultaneously highlight new initiatives and projects occurring in the District. Most of all, it’s exciting for the community to see the fantastic skills our students have!”
In the series’ debut episode the students share details about what inspired them to pursue digital video production in school.
From creating each episode’s introduction, to selecting music, and filming and editing footage – the students are involved in every step of the See Into CVUSD video production process. Furthermore, these projects naturally support objectives in their classroom curriculum.
Other topics to be covered in See Into CVUSD include an episode showcasing new, healthy food options offered by the District’s Child Nutrition Department and a behind-the-scenes look at the Build CVUSD Facilities Master Planning process.
Watch the first two episodes now, and stay tuned for new episodes coming soon!
