You’re Invited: Preview New Core Literature Titles

Parents/guardians are invited to join the District’s Instructional Services team for two scheduled Preview Nights to review new Core Literature titles that are to be brought before the Board of Education as information items at upcoming, regularly scheduled Board of Education Meetings.  

The core literature titles are as follows:

·         Just Mercy  (Adapted for Young Adults) (Grade 9) by Bryan Stevenson - Title Description

·         Forget Me Not (Grade 7) by Ellie Terry - Title Description

 

The  Preview Nights are scheduled for the following dates, and will give CVUSD parents/guardians the opportunity to review the aforementioned Core Literature titles, and to have questions and/or concerns about these literature titles answered by members of the District’s Instructional Services team:

Preview Night #1

Thursday, November 21, 2019 -  7 PM - 8:30 PM

CVUSD Board Room (1402 E. Janss Road, Thousand Oaks)

 

Preview Night #2
Thursday, December 12, 2019
 -  6 PM - 8 PM

CVUSD Board Room (1402 E. Janss Road, Thousand Oaks)

 

The titles listed above are also available to be checked out at the CVUSD District Educational Center (1400 E. Janss Rd.) and at the main office of each CVUSD middle school and high school campus. The Newbury Park Library has Just Mercy (Adapted for Young Adults) available.
