Sandy Hook Promise - Additional Program Information

This year CVUSD joined with Sandy Hook Promise to implement two of the three  "Know the Signs Program" modules: "Start with Hello" and "Say Something." Read more about the Program Descriptions here.

The "Start with Hello" program encourages social inclusivity with peer to peer activities to reduce students feeling isolated at school
(activities and ice breakers are intended for students to use at school with student peers)This module is implemented for 2nd-12th graders.

"Say Something" encourages students to reach out to a trusted adult if they are concerned about a fellow student.  This module is implemented for 7th-12th graders.

Recently, Sandy Hook Promise posted a Public Service Announcement video.  The video is not a component of the modules described above and therefore will not be shown to CVUSD students.
