Sequoia Middle School Hosts End of Year BBQ

Sequoia Middle School served up food and fun at their barbecue today as a Renaissance Reward for students who earned satisfactory grades and demonstrated good citizenship and work habits. Renaissance Rewards is a program that encourages students to do well academically and be rewarded at the end of a quarter or semester.

CVUSD Child Nutrition served up delicious fare, including: hot dogs, drinks, chips and brownies, along with carrots and apples. The sunny weather was ideal for a picnic on the playing field, where students enjoyed their lunch while playing games on the lawn.

The BBQ featured all kinds of fun inflatables, including four water slides and four giant inflatable activities with a bounce house. Parent volunteers helped staff supervise and facilitate the day's events.

A big thank you to the community members, staff, teachers and parents who helped to make this fun-filled event a success!
