CVUSD Honors & Celebrates Employees at Annual Service Awards and Retirement Celebration on May 14, 2019
The Conejo Valley Unified School District honored 2018-2019 retirees and employees with 15 to 35 or more years of service with the District on Tuesday, May 14, 2019, at 6 p.m. at the University Center, located at 2801 Atlas Avenue, Thousand Oaks.
Employees who have served 15, 20, 25, 30 and 35 years of service were recognized at last night's event. Retirees were also recognized by members of the Board, including Dr. Betsy Connolly, DVM, President of the Board of Education and Dr. Mark McLaughlin, Superintendent of Conejo Valley Unified School District, as well as guests of the Board. Certificates and proclamations were provided by the City of Thousand Oaks, the Office of Jacqui Irwin, 44th District and the Office of Linda Parks, Ventura County Board of Supervisors.
The event commenced with singing from Los Cerritos Middle School's Choir
, directed by Janice Hague. The choir has been awarded the highest scores in both regional and state competitions making them one of the top middle school choirs in California. Refreshment was provided by CVUSD Child Nutrition.
