Thousand Oaks High School celebrates Earth Day

Thousand Oaks High School celebrated Earth Day with an “Earth Fair” on their quad during lunch recess on Thursday, April 25th. Students had a chance to learn, have fun and win prizes!   

The community set up booths on campus, including: CSUCI Environmental majors - students & professor, Drones/ROV's, Microplastics, Wildfire Research, Santa Rosa Island restoration work, Local Restoration work, Climate Reality Project. Sierra Club, Metropolitan Water District, Simi at the Gardens, Create Studio, Marine Mammal Stranding Network, Thousand Oaks City, Thousand Oaks Library, Environmental Club, Pledge Tree, Green for Green Club, Astronomy/Physics Class, Ocean Noise Pollution - Student booth, APES Booths, Bees, Climate Change, Coral Reefs, Cars - New tech, Shark Finning, Monarchs, Sea Turtles and Rocketdyne.  

Proceeds from the Pizza Rev Fundraiser went to fighting ocean noise pollution.  Thank you to all those who participated making Earth Fair a success!
