Community Unites for Inaugural State of the Schools
On Friday, October 6, the Conejo Schools Foundation hosted the Inaugural State of the Schools event at the Lundring Events Center at California Lutheran University.
The event offered an open invitation to community members and community partners to learn more about the current state of public education in the Conejo Valley.
Mike Soules, Conejo Schools Foundation President opened the event with a few words highlighting how proud the Conejo Schools Foundation is to be the District’s partner. The mission of the Conejo Schools Foundation is to, “mobilize resources and partner with the community to protect, strengthen, and grow quality educational experiences for all CVUSD students.”
Conejo Valley Unified School District Superintendent, Dr. Ann Bonitatibus was the event’s keynote speaker. She discussed the core values of the district, factors currently impacting the education system in America and what the future of education looks like in CVUSD. Approximately 140 individuals attended the event. The main sponsors of the event included: Corwin, The Chamber of Commerce of the Greater Conejo Valley, California Lutheran University and Mustang Marketing. Other major sponsors include: AAUW, Boys and Girls Club of Conejo and Las Virgines, CYBA, The Oaks, Sports Academy, UCLA Health and White House Properties.
