Congratulations Eileen Moore of TOHS - Our December 2020 Teacher of the Month!
Eileen Moore is a dedicated educator who works tirelessly to ensure ALL students are cared for and receive as much support as necessary. She is persistent and firm, while simultaneously understanding and encouraging. A current English and ELD teacher and proud member of the Thousand Oaks High School team for fifteen years, we, along with the Greater Conejo Chamber of Commerce are honored to recognize Ms. Moore as our December 2020 Teacher of the Month!
When emergency distance learning took place in March, Ms. Moore did not skip a beat in providing online updates and invaluable resources for families. She consistently goes above and beyond the call of duty.
She works with students and parents, to build confidence in students’ ability to comprehend the material, stay on track and understand the importance of making positive decisions.
Her work and dedication is also critical to the success of the EThOS program.
Ms. Moore is also the current advisor of TOHS’s Project Concern, a service club which includes organization of the Annual Thanksgiving food drive, as well as aligning community-based support with students in need.
On Wednesday, December 9th, the Greater Conejo Valley Chamber of Commerce, and the Conejo Valley Unified School District surprised Ms. Moore with the December 2020 Teacher of the Month recognition during a virtual staff meeting. Dr. Mark McLaughlin, CVUSD Superintendent of Schools, presented Ms. Moore with a “virtual commemorative plaque” (a plaque will be delivered to Ms. Moore). Thank you Greater Conejo Valley Chamber of Commerce for your continued partnership for the Teacher of the Month Recognition program. Congratulations Ms. Moore!
