Erica Ultreras Announced as the New Principal of Conejo Elementary School & Open Classroom Leadership Magnet
At the Tuesday, June 2nd Board of Education Meeting, Erica Ultreras was announced as the new principal of Conejo Elementary School and Open Classroom Leadership Magnet.
Ms. Ultreras is a knowledgeable, passionate leader with more than 14 years of experience in education. Throughout her career, her vision has remained constant: “create a school environment that enriches the lives of students, empowers them to find their voices and gives them the skills necessary to take control of their future regardless of their background.”
Ms. Ultreras has served as an Assistant Principal for the last six years. She also has experience as a Resource Teacher: TOSA, and Bilingual Elementary Classroom Teacher. She has led academic initiatives such as developing common benchmark assessments, facilitating professional development, and monitoring intervention systems that have improved classroom practices and increased student achievement.

She has a Masters of Education from the University of California, Santa Barbara and an Administrative Services Credential from California Lutheran University.
Ms. Ultreras will officially begin her role as Principal of Conejo Elementary School on July 1st.
