Congratulations to Annie Alvarez, Special Education Teacher at Newbury Park High School for receiving the 2020 "Students with Exceptional Needs Human Rights Award" from the California Teachers Association. This award recognizes Ms. Alvarez's extraordinary work in helping advance equal opportunity for students with special needs.

The CTA Human Rights Awards Program was adopted by the CTA State Council of Education in October, 1984, and was further augmented to include eight new categories of awards in the ensuing years.
