Free Event: Teen Challenges Awareness Presentation

CVUSD and community partners, including the Thousand Oaks Police Department, Interface Children & Family Services, Engage, Family Justice Center of Ventura County, Conejo Council PTA, Thousand Oaks Police Charitable Foundation, and Coalition for Harmony, are hosting a FREE event for middle and high school students and their parents/guardians to learn important aspects of how to safely navigate social media, and identify techniques to avoid victimization. 

The event will be held at the Thousand Oaks High School Performing Arts Center (2323 North Moorpark Road) on Wednesday, March 7th from 6pm to 8pm. 

Topics covered in the presentation include:

  • Social Media Etiquette

  • Digital Abuse

  • Building Healthy Relationships

  • Consequences of Poor Judgement

  • Bystander Intervention

  • Self Respect/Respect to Others

Social Services and Victim Advocacy professionals will also be present for discussion and available to answer questions.

There will be a Pizza Social in front of the Thousand Oaks High School Performing Arts Center from 5pm to 6pm.
