Congratulations Sue Miller of Aspen Elementary – CVUSD’s February Teacher of the Month
Sue Miller exhibits enthusiasm, love, and passion for teaching students. She is an innovator, problem solver, and a dynamic member of Aspen’s leadership team, and we are proud to honor her as our February 2020 Teacher of the Month.
Mrs. Miller has been a dedicated elementary educator in the Conejo Valley Unified School District for more than two decades. A kindergarten, and primary lead teacher, her peers know her as a trusted, dependable colleague. Her students know her as a supportive, graceful leader. The Aspen community knows her as someone who inspires, and makes a positive impact with everyone she encounters each, and every day.
Mrs. Miller constantly goes above and beyond, and works collaboratively as a Union Representative for Aspen, and serves on multiple committees on campus and within the District. She has mastered the elusive art of being firm, but fair; having rules, yet maintaining relationships.
On Tuesday, January 28th the Greater Conejo Valley Chamber of Commerce and the Conejo Valley Unified School District surprised Mrs. Miller with the February 2020 Teacher of the Month recognition at the school’s regularly scheduled staff meeting. Dr. Mark McLaughlin, CVUSD Superintendent of Schools, presented Mrs. Miller with a commemorative plaque. Members of CVUSD's leadership team, and the Greater Conejo Valley Chamber of Commerce were also on hand to present gifts of gratitude from their local businesses/organizations to Mrs. Miller. Congratulations!
