CVUSD Welcomes New Director of Purchasing Services - Jon Aasted
Mr. Aasted to lead district's Purchasing Department
Conejo Valley Unified School District would like to welcome Jon Aasted as its new Director of Purchasing Services.
Mr. Aasted brings more than 30 years of experience in areas of contract management and purchasing services to his new role with CVUSD. Mr. Aasted has held several management level positions in community college districts throughout California, including Director – Purchasing, Contracts, Materials Management for South Orange County Community College District in Mission Viejo, General Services Director for Los Rios Community College District in Sacramento, and Director of Purchasing, Contracts, Risk Management for Santa Clarita Community College District in Valencia.
Throughout his tenure in these roles, Mr. Aasted coordinated the central purchasing operations of the organizations he served and implemented new programs to generate substantial annual savings.
“The District is very excited to welcome Jon Aasted to lead its Purchasing team,” said Interim Superintendent, Dr. Mark McLaughlin. “Jon’s vast experience of working for education institutions in key leadership positions makes him a great fit to succeed in his new role.”
Mr. Aasted has a Bachelor’s degree in Management from San Diego State University and a Master’s degree in Accounting from the University of Phoenix.
