SPARC is a joint partnership between the Ventura County Office of Education, Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID), and TUTORIFIC! to serve students who are placed in foster care, guardianship, kinship care, or are in a transitional living situation. For more information, click here
Every school district has a homeless liaison as part of the Homeless Education Project. The duties of a liaison are to ensure that students in temporary living situations have full and equal opportunity to succeed in school. Families and youth receive educational services for which they are eligible.

The Foster Youth Services program is designed to serve the educational needs and improve the quality of life for foster youth residing in Ventura County. FYS serves as a community resource, providing referrals, school enrollment information and contacts.
