IT'S EASY TO START, STOP, OR CHANGE DEFERRALS!

To start, stop, or change elective deferrals, please complete a Salary Amendment Agreement (available below) as follows:

403(b) RETIREMENT SAVINGS PLAN

Step #1: Visit www.403bcompare.com to learn of Investment Providers available in the plan & select an Investment Provider. Some Investment Providers have financial advisor(s), while others do not. If you need further guidance contact TDS (Tax Deferred Solutions), CVUSD’s Third Party Plan Administrator. 
Step #2: Open an account through the Investment Provider you chose. 
Step #3: Complete and submit a 403b Salary Amendment Agreement (SAA) form (available below) to the CVUSD payroll department by the 10th day of the month you wish to begin.

457(b) RETIREMENT SAVINGS PLAN

Step #1: Employees can work with a financial advisor of their choice, or with no advisor depending on the Investment Provider they select. 
Step #2: Open an account through the Investment Provider you chose. 
Step #3: Complete and submit a 457b Salary Amendment Agreement (SAA) form (available below) to the CVUSD payroll department by the 10th day of the month you wish to begin. In addition, submit a Direction of Investment (DOI) form to TDS (Tax Deferred Solutions).

 

403(b) and 457(b) ROTH CONTRIBUTIONS

The IRS allows both 403(b) and 457(b) to accept Roth contributions.  Roth Contributions are After-Tax deferrals, instead of Pre-Tax.  All interest accumulated during the duration of the plan is tax free when the employee withdraws the funds at retirement.  If you want a Roth, contact your investment provider to learn if they allow Roth accounts.

This form is to be used to establish, change, or cancel elective deferrals withheld from your paycheck for a 403(b) account. This form should be completed and signed by employee and returned to CVUSD Payroll Department.

403(b) Transaction Request Form
403(b) Hardship Withdrawals or Loans ONLY form.

457(b) Salary Amendment Agreement (SAA)
This form is to be used to establish, change, or cancel elective deferrals withheld from your paycheck for a 457(b) account. This form should be completed and signed by employee and returned to CVUSD Payroll Department.

457(b) Unforseen Emergency Withdrawals or Loans ONLY Form.
