Congratulations Shane Frank, CVUSD’s New Director of Middle School Education!

Shane FrankThe Conejo Valley Unified School District is proud to announce Shane Frank as the District’s new Director of Middle School Education.

Mr. Frank is a dedicated educational leader who is committed to creating a place for students to learn and grow through rendering positive student outcomes, school connectedness, and professional collaborative teams. For the past 15 years, Mr. Frank has served as Principal of Colina Middle School where he has led the way in cultivating exceptional academic experiences for students, while building a meaningful schoolwide character development program and fostering a caring, connected school community. 

“We look forward to welcoming Mr. Frank to his new role with the District,” said Kenny Loo, Assistant Superintendent of Instructional Services. “His depth of experience as a school leader, and his ability to implement best practices based on data, combined with his effortless ability to build positive relationships makes him a great fit to lead our middle schools on their continued path of excellence.”

Mr. Frank began his career in the CVUSD more than 25 years ago, as a teacher at Colina Middle School. Prior to his role as Principal of the school, he also served as Assistant Principal, Dean of Students, Department Chair and ASB Advisor.

In 2019, Mr. Frank was awarded the Middle School Principal of the Year award from COLVOP Charter ACSA Region 13. He earned a Master of Education from Azusa Pacific University and a Bachelor of Applied Arts and Science Kinesiology degree from San Diego State University.

Mr. Frank will begin his new role as the District’s Director of Middle Schools effective July 1, 2024.
